We're winning elections all across the country!
From Mamdani to AOC, the Democratic Socialists of America has been responsible for the most prominent left wing victories in U.S. elections for as long as we've been around. And we're winning in more than just blue states. An explicitly socialist DSA candidate Kelsea Bond just won a spot on Atlanta city council. There is not a fight too large for us to take on, nor one too small for us to care about.
We're serving our community directly.
It's important to us that we put our ideas into practice, and we do so by making thousands of meals each month with our meal making initiatives, reducing police stop and searches by fixing people's tail lights free of charge, and supporting workers in their fight to unionize.
Meal Making Days
Every Thursday and Sunday we get together to make meals to feed those who are homeless and food insecure in the community. We make thousands of meals each month with just volunteers and donated supplies. Whether you want a meal for yourself, or would like to assist those in need, all are welcome to attend and help out.
Tail Light Clinics
In order to reduce police stop and searches, our organization holds Tail Light Clinics in which we repair people's broken rear bulbs free of charge. By removing a common justification for traffic stops, we help keep our community safe from state violence and burdensome fines. We've potentially prevented dozens of traffic stops and hope to assist even more people as we expand our efforts.
Building Local Labor Power
We believe that workers should be the ones in charge of their workplaces, and the way to achieve that is through the power of a union. Our chapter is already inspiring local workers to organize, with the Bonaire Starbucks authorizing a union election! If you are a worker, you can be a part of that fight!
Get Involved
We are the largest activist organization in Middle Georgia, and an explicitly anti-capitalist one. If you resonate with our work and our mission, we'd love to have you on board!
